AN ACT relating to sex offender risk assessments.
     Amend KRS 17.570 to delete the requirement that a sex offender risk assessment be performed prior to an offender's initial sentencing, retaining and clarifying the provision that an assessment be done prior to the release of the offender, including release on probation or shock probation; amend KRS 532.050 to allow a court to sentence a sex offender prior to the receipt of a sex offender evaluation if the offender is ineligible for probation or parole.
