AN ACT relating to the unemployment insurance program and declaring an emergency.
Amend KRS 341.510 to permit the Cabinet for Workforce Development to access federal funds to administer the unemployment insurance program; make retroactive to January 1, 2000; EMERGENCY.
HB 486 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, R. Sanders Jr) - Retain the original provisions of the bill except deletes the provision that provides for an emergency; amend KRS 341.270 to reduce the "trust fund adequacy rates" for positive balance employers; and amend KRS 341.380 to increase weekly benefits for unemployed workers.
SFA (2/Title, R. Sanders Jr) - Amend title to read: "AN ACT relating to unemployment insurance."
CCR - Conference Committee could not agree and requested that Free Conference Committee be appointed.
FCCR (Majority Report) - The Free Conference Committee adopted the provisions of the General Assembly copy of House Bill 486 with changes to provide that the average employer, within a positive tax balance, will receive an unemployment insurance tax rate reduction of $8.72 per employee, and will increase unemployment insurance benefits received by the employee by $10.00 per week.
