     AN ACT relating to absentee voting and declaring an emergency.
     Amend KRS 117.085 to allow any pregnant woman, who is in her last trimester of pregnancy at the time she wishes to vote, to vote in the county clerk's office or other place designated by the county board of elections and approved by the State Board of Elections, up to the close of normal business hours on the day before the election; provide for the application form containing the woman's sworn statement that she is in her last trimester of pregnancy at the time she wishes to vote; provide that the application be made in person to the county clerk within 12 working days before the election to vote; provide that a county board of elections may provide for voting to be conducted for a period longer than 12 working days before the election; amend KRS 117.086 to include pregnant women qualified to vote prior to the election in the list of those voters who shall vote at the main office of the county clerk or other place designated by the county board of elections; EMERGENCY.

HB 507 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS/LM - Retain original provisions, provide that pregnant woman in last trimester may vote on voting machine for 12 days preceding election.
     HFA (1, H. Anderson) - Amend to provide that any qualified voter in the county, other than someone otherwise qualified to vote absentee, may vote on a voting machine in the clerk's office 12 days prior to the election.
     HFA (2, H. Anderson) - Amend to provide that any qualified voter in the county, other than someone otherwise qualified to vote absentee, may vote at any time during normal business hours on at least any of the 12 working days before the election up to the close of business hours on the day before the election.
