     AN ACT relating to small and farm wineries.
     Amend KRS 243.155 and 243.156 to permit a limited sale local option election in a dry precinct containing a licensed small or farm winery, for the purpose of allowing the sale of wine by the small or farm winery.

HB 663 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS/LM - Add provisions to KRS 243.155 and 243.156 to allow a small or farm winery to transport or ship product in-state with specified restrictions; amend KRS 243.884 to extend the wholesale tax exemption on wine produced from out-of-state products until June 30, 2010; and retain the provision of the original bill to allow a local option election in a precinct containing a small or farm winery in a dry territory.
     HFA (1, J. Haydon) - Delete provisions allowing small and farm wineries to transport wine to a customer; reduce from 10 years to 4 years the number of years the wholesale tax exemption on wine produced from out-of-state grapes.
     HFA (2, J. Haydon) - Add and amend KRS 100.111 to include small wineries and farm wineries as agricultural use in planning and zoning.
