AN ACT relating to cigarettes and other retail tobacco products.
     Amend KRS 138.40 to require a tax to be paid on the sale of all other retail tobacco products (besides cigarettes) at a rate of three cents per ounce; create a new section of KRS Chapter 248 to require the tax revenues generated by the tax to be transferred to the tobacco farmers and tobacco communities fund to be distributed by a local county access to capital board to tobacco farmers and tobacco community projects; amend numerous sections of KRS Chapter 138 and 365 to conform; delayed effective date for tax provisions of August 1, 2000.
