AN ACT relating to the hiring of sheriffs' deputies.
Amend KRS 61.300 to remove the residency requirements for hiring deputy sheriffs.
SB 62 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Retain original provisions of bill, but stipulate that sheriffs deputies must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and amend KRS 350.052 to conform.
HFA (1, A. Simpson) - Specify that deputies may be required to be a resident of the county in which they serve.
HFA (2, A. Simpson) - Allow sheriff to require his or her deputies to reside in the county in which they serve.
