     AN ACT relating to the educational display of historical documents.
     Amend KRS 158.195 to permit local boards of education to authorize schools to erect a comprehensive educational display of historical documents that must include the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, and may include specific religious documents, such as the Ten Commandments, provided the purpose or effect of the display does not favor or disfavor religion, or any particular religious belief; create a new section of KRS Chapter 56 to permit a governmental agency of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to erect on real property owned or leased by the Commonwealth, a comprehensive educational display of historical documents that must include the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, and may include specific religious documents, such as the Ten Commandments, provided the purpose or effect of the display does not favor or disfavor religion, or any particular religious belief; create a new section of KRS Chapter 65 to permit a local governing body of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to erect a comprehensive educational display of historical documents that must include the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, and may include specific religious documents, such as the Ten Commandments, provided the purpose or effect of the display does not favor or disfavor religion, or any particular religious belief.
