AN ACT relating to school buses.
     Amend KRS 189.125, relating to mandatory seat belt usage, to require all school buses to be equipped with lap and shoulder combination-type seat belts for the driver and each seating position on the bus; require buses owned by both public and nonpublic schools to comply; allow persons to be granted an exemption from wearing a seat belt if they provide a written statement from a physician or licensed chiropractor that the person is unable, for medical or physical reasons, to wear a seat belt; prohibit an owner or operator of a school bus from being liable for injuries a passenger on a school bus may receive if the person knowingly and willfully failed to wear a seat belt in violation of these requirements; amend KRS 156.153, 156.154, 156.160, 189.540, 189.990, and 281A.010 to conform; delayed effective date.
