AN ACT relating to highways.
     Amend KRS 176.010, relating to definitions governing the Department of Highways, to define "AASHTO," "cabinet," "FHWA," "highways," and "secretary"; create a new section of KRS Chapter 176 to require all highway projects enacted in the six-year road plan to meet or exceed standards established by the FHWA and AASHTO that are in force at the time the highway or bridge is constructed; prohibit the Transportation Cabinet from using weaker standards; and require all highway projects or highway segments involving low or soft shoulders to be marked with the appropriate highway signs to warn motorists.
