AN ACT relating to patriotic recitation.
     Amend KRS 158.175 to require students enrolled in public schools from grades 3 through 12 to recite a prescribed section of the Declaration of Independence at the beginning of each school day; require school districts to develop age-appropriate curriculum for teaching these students the meaning and historical significance of the selection from the Declaration of Independence; direct the Kentucky Department of Education to prepare and distribute to each local school board a notice informing it of the obligations of principals and teachers under this requirement and a complete copy of the Declaration of Independence with the selection to be recited printed in boldface type.
