AN ACT relating to sexual assault response.
Amend KRS 216B.400 to permit reimbursement for sexual assault examinations to out-of-state nurse, hospital, or physician if the sexual assault occurred in Kentucky; amend KRS 314.011 to require sexual assault nurse examiner to maintain a current credential from the Board of Nursing; amend KRS 314.142 to require the Board of Nursing to promulgate an administrative regulation addressing procedures for obtaining input from the Sexual Assault Response Team Advisory Committee prior to proposing amendments to regulations; create a new section of KRS Chapter 403 to require the Governor's Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault to create a Sexual Assault Response Team Advisory Committee; specify membership and duties of advisory committee; and require advisory committee to make recommendations to the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
HB 308 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/FN - Retain original provisions except clarify that the sexual assault examination includes basic treatment rather than basic emergency room treatment and clarify laboratory cultures and tests are not limited to tests for venereal disease of the victim.
