HB 349/FN (BR 990) - J. Barrows

     AN ACT relating to the Capitol Restoration Trust Fund.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 11 to establish the Capitol Restoration Trust Fund as a separate account within the State Treasury, to be administered by the Finance and Administration Cabinet with advice from the Historic Properties Advisory Commission; require the cabinet to seek advice on disbursement of proceeds from the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House; require that the proceeds from the trust fund are to be used exclusively for the restoration and renovation of the State Capitol, prohibiting lapsing of proceeds to the general fund and require that all interest, dividends, and other income derived from the investment of the proceeds be credited to the trust fund; require the cabinet to publish annual report of activities of the trust fund.

HB 349 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS/FN - Retain the original provisions; include Chief Justice among those individuals from whom the Finance and Administration Cabinet shall seek advice on the appropriate disbursement of proceeds from the Capitol Restoration Trust Fund; provide that Chief Justice receives a copy of the annual financial report of the activities of the trust fund.
