AN ACT relating to consumer protection.
     Amend KRS 367.170 to make it unlawful for a retailer or his or her employee or subcontractor to perform a service that impacts the warranty unless the retailer, employee, or subcontractor gives notice to the purchaser before commencing the service; require that fulfillment of the notification requirements be evidenced by a written document signed by the purchaser and the retailer or his employee or subcontractor; require the Attorney General's Office to promulgate regulations setting out the content of the notice; require the retailer to obtain information about the effect of the service he or she offers from the manufacturer if the retailer does not know it.
