AN ACT relating to education networks that promote access to postsecondary education.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 164 to identify the need to improve access to postsecondary education; recognize and describe the purposes and responsibilities of the Kentucky Access to Higher Education Network at Morehead State University, and to require the Kentucky Access to Higher Education Network to make a biennial report of its activities to the Interim Joint Committee on Education by October 1, 2003 and recommendations as to need and feasibility of establishing similar networks across the state.
HB 653 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions but add "public and independent" to describe universities; add adult education providers as part of the network.
