AN ACT relating to medical assistance.
     Amend KRS 205.5631 to delete the definitions for "availability" and "new drug"; amend KRS 205.5634 to require the Department for Medicaid Services to consider the therapeutic effectiveness and cost in placing drugs on the prior authorization drug file; and repeal KRS 205.5632, which requires new drugs to be on the Medicaid nonprior authorized list for twelve (12) months and requires any drug of the same pharmacological category with a comparable clinical application, efficacy, safety, and cost to also be placed on the nonprior authorized drug file.
