AN ACT relating to school attendance.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to define terms; amend KRS 159.140 to elaborate the duties of the school district pupil personnel director in carrying out the compulsory school attendance laws; amend KRS 159.160 to add provisions relating to withdrawal of students of compulsory school attendance; create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to define the criteria for a bona fide nonpublic school in which a student of compulsory school age may enroll and be exempt from compulsory attendance in a public school; create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to define the requirements for testing of compulsory school age children who are enrolled in a home study program and whose parent is receiving financial assistance under Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or testing of 16-18 year old students receiving assistance; amend KRS 159.040 to conform; amend KRS 159.051 to require that a student may be exempt from the provisions of this section as long as the home school is verified as a bona fide school; amend KRS 630.060 to conform.
