SB 206 (BR 2245) - E. Scorsone

     AN ACT relating to prescription drugs for seniors.
     Create a new section of KRS 205.510 to 205.645 to require the Department for Medicaid Services to apply for a Medicaid waiver for outpatient prescription drug coverage for seniors with incomes that do not exceed one hundred fifty percent (150%) of the federal poverty level, if the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provides an enhanced federal matching rate for prescription drug coverage for low income Medicare beneficiaries contingent upon availability of state matching funds, or if state matching funds are available at the regular match rate; if the waiver is approved, create the Kentucky Senior Prescription Drug Program; require Medicaid to submit any necessary document to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services within ninety of the availability of the enhanced match rate, contingent upon availability of state matching funds.
