AN ACT relating to the underground railroad.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 171 to establish the Underground Railroad Advisory Council within the Kentucky African-American Heritage Commission and set its members, duties and terms; amend KRS 171.805 to conform; and create a new section of KRS Chapter 12 to establish the purpose of the Education, Arts, and Humanities Cabinet and duties of the secretary as they relate to the Underground Railroad initiative.
HB 24 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/FN - Retain original provisions; capitalize all references to the "Underground Railroad"; delete the word "aided" from the definition of "Underground Railroad."
SFA (1, R. Roeding) - Increase the membership of the Underground Railroad Advisory Council from eleven to thirteen.
