AN ACT relating to emergency management.
Amend KRS 39A.287 to require collaboration with the Commissioner of the Department for Public Health and other state agencies in the annual assessment of the preparedness of the Commonwealth to respond to acts of terrorism; require the annual report of the assessment to be submitted to the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare; create section of KRS 211.005 to 211.380 to require the commissioner of the Department for Public Health to collaborate with the Division of Emergency Management to annually assess the statewide preparedness of public health and other health care providers to respond to acts of terrorism; and require the use of the assessment to strengthen public health strategies to respond to acts of terrorism, including those involving chemical, nuclear, or biological agents.
