HB 321/LM (BR 391) - S. Westrom, S. Lee, S. Riggs, T. Riner

     AN ACT relating to employment.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 336 to provide limited immunity to an employer who discloses job performance information about a former or current employee to a prospective employer of that employee; require disclosure of information relating to the discharge of the employee for causing or threatening bodily harm to another person; name the bill the "Kentucky Workplace Safety Act".

HB 321 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS/LM - Retain original provisions except amend to modify employee conduct that must be disclosed, lengthen mandatory disclosure window to five years, remove provision relating to mailing of written reference material to employee, and include provision invalidating immunity where employer negligence is present.

     SFA (1, J. Denton) - Amend to delete exceptions to immunity from civil liability.
