AN ACT relating to insurance rate filings.
     Amend KRS 304.13-051 to require medical malpractice insurance rates to be filed with the commissioner of the Department of Insurance; authorize the commissioner to hold a public hearing on a rate filing in a competitive market; require a medical malpractice insurer that files a proposed rate increase to notify each policyholder that the insurer has filed the proposed rate increase; require the notice to state the percentage increase by which the policyholder's current premium is anticipated to increase if the proposed rate increase is approved as filed.
