HB 430/AA (BR 1497) - C. Geveden

     AN ACT relating to state government.
     Make technical corrections.

HB 430 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Delete original provisions; require employees hired on or after July 1, 2003, to earn a minimum of 10 years before they are eligible for insurance benefits at retirement; allow the General Assembly to amend the provision in the future.

     HCA (1/Title, C. Geveden) - Make title amendment.

     HFA (1, C. Geveden) - Waive 10-year requirement for employees who are disabled or killed in the line of duty.

     SCS/AA - Require a minimum of ten years for an employee hired after July 1, 2003, to be eligible for insurance at retirement; waive the vesting requirement in cases of duty related death or disability; extend vesting requirement for the full insurance benefit to 30 years; prohibit service purchased after July 1, 2003, from being used to determine health insurance benefits; allow the General Assembly to amend the provision in the future.
