Request the Kentucky Department of Education to provide education and training to school personnel regarding the use of psychotropic drugs as a part of children's treatment; urge the Cabinet for Families and Children to ensure that a parent's refusal to allow a child to receive psychotropic drugs as a part of treatment not be used as the sole ground for taking a child into custody; and request the Kentucky Commission on Services and Supports for Individuals with Mental Illness, Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Disorders, and Dual Diagnoses, and Regional Mental Health Planning Councils to study the issues relating to psychotropic drugs and children in Kentucky.
