SB 104 (BR 1227) - J. Turner

     AN ACT relating to the reorganization of the Transportation Cabinet.
     Amend KRS 12.020 and 174.020 establish the Office of Inspector General as a major organizational unit in the Transportation Cabinet; create a new section of KRS Chapter 174 to define the duties of the executive director of the Office of Inspector General; confirm executive Order 2002-785.

SB 104 - AMENDMENTS


     SFA (1, D. Kelly) - Create new sections of KRS 174 to establish a Transportation Oversight Subcommittee of LRC; establish membership, powers, and duties; require Transportation Cabinet to report expenditures, contingency account transfers, and contracts to the subcommittee for review; require the Cabinet to transmit the monthly data it already sends to LRC to the subcommittee; require the routine reporting required of this Act to begin on July 1, 2003 for all expenditures and contracts executed on or after July 1, 2003; amend KRS 45.247 and KRS 176.430 to conform; amend Section 3 to require the OIG of the Cabinet to report to the Transportation Oversight Subcommittee; renumber sections accordingly.

Kelly) - Create new sections of KRS 174 to establish a Transportation Oversight Subcommittee of LRC; establish membership, powers, and duties; require Transportation Cabinet to regularly report expenditures, contingency account transfers, and contract information to the subcommittee; allow for subcommittee review and comment on all Cabinet expenditures, and require Cabinet responses to subcommittee concerns; require the Cabinet to transmit the monthly data it already sends to LRC to the subcommittee; require the routine reporting required by this Act to begin on July 1, 2003 for all expenditures and contracts executed on or after July 1, 2003; amend KRS 45.247 and KRS 176.430 to conform; amend Section 3 to require the OIG of the Cabinet to report to the Transportation Oversight Subcommittee; renumber sections accordingly.
