AN ACT relating to cervids.
Amend KRS 150.720, relating to cervids, to ban importation or transportation of cervids from captive herds or states where chronic wasting disease has been found; permit destruction of escaped animals; amend KRS 150.990 to provide criminal penalties for violators and permit recovery of costs.
SB 112 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Create a new section of KRS chapter 150 limiting importation or possession of cervid carcasses and parts; amend KRS 150.720 to sunset the import ban on live cervids in 2006, to limit liability for escape to intentional or negligent incidents, to allow intrastate transport of cervids under limited circumstances and to limit transport of live cervids and parts during an outbreak of chronic wasting disease; declare an EMERGENCY; effective ON GOVERNOR'S SIGNATURE.
