AN ACT relating to pawn brokers.
     Amend KRS 226.040 and 226.070 to require pawn brokers to maintain personal identifying information of all persons from whom they receive property and a serial number or other identifying information for all property received, and authorize the establishment of a database for transmission to local law enforcement of the required identifying information; amend KRS 226.990 to impose a fine of $1000 or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one year, or both, for persons who are not permitted users who obtain access to the data base under false pretenses.
