SB 2/FN (BR 916) - D. Williams
AN ACT relating to the budget.
Amend KRS 48.115 to establish a set quarterly meeting schedule for the consensus forecasting group; amend KRS 48.130 to revise the process for reducing expenditures in the event of a downward revision of the revenue estimates by the consensus forecasting group; amend KRS 48.140, 48.400, 48.600, 48.620, 48.700, 48.710, and 18A.1132 to make conforming amendments; amend KRS 48.705 to require that any proposed use of the budget reserve trust fund to address a revenue shortfall follow other required actions, and be presented to the Interim Joint Committee on Appropriations and Revenue for review.
SB 2 - AMENDMENTS
SCS/FN - Delete original provisions and provide that the Legislative Research Commission or the state budget director may convene the consensus forecasting group if they determine a revision of the revenue estimates is needed; provide that the staff of the consensus forecasting group shall be provided by the Legislative Research Commission.
