SB 95 (BR 933) - L. Casebier
AN ACT relating to a pilot teacher internship program and declaring an emergency.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 161 to authorize the Education Professional Standards Board to conduct a two (2) year internship pilot program for new teachers between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2006; require the board to promulgate administrative regulations defining the program and implementing components; require the board to report findings to the Interim Joint Committee on Education; permit the board to carry forward general funds to support second year interns; EMERGENCY.
SB 95 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, R. Nelson) - Amend KRS 161.017 to transfer the Education Professional Standards Board to the Kentucky Board of Education; amend various statutes to conform.
HFA (2, T. Pullin) - Amend KRS 158.070 to require that time added to the length of the school day due to weather, illness, or other emergency be calculated as equivalent time to be applied toward the required 175 instructional days for certified personnel.
HFA (3/Title, T. Pullin) - Make title amendment.
