Direct the Secretary of the Education, Arts and Humanities Cabinet to convene a Cultural Heritage Policy Task Force to develop recommendations regarding cultural heritage policy and submit a final report to the LRC and the Governor by October 1, 2003.

SCS - Retain original provisions but correct the titles of some organizations; add executive directors of selected organizations as nonvoting ex officio members.
SFA (1, J. Westwood) - Direct the Kentucky Board of Education to promulgate administrative regulations by January 1, 2004, requiring the Kentucky Department of Education to include specific curriculum content and instruction concerning the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, and flag etiquette in the state program of studies; require the department to report to the Interim Joint Committee on Education in 2004 and each subsequent year, describing the administrative regulations and the effectiveness of the requirements.
