     AN ACT relating to peace officer certification.
     Amend KRS 15.400, relating to certification of grandfathered peace officers, to permit an officer to retain certification if transferring to another law enforcement agency subject to certification; amend KRS 15.386 and 15.392 to conform.

     HCS - Amend KRS 15.400, relating to certification of grandfathered peace officers, to permit an officer to retain certification if employed within thirty days by another law enforcement agency that is subject to certification; amend KRS 15.386 and 15.392 to conform; make this provision retroactive to July 1, 2004.

     HFA (1, G. Lynn) - Amend to make provisions retroactive to July 1, 2004.

     HFA (2, F. Nesler) - Permit the United States Enrichment Corporation to apply to the Governor for the appointment and commissioning of peace officers for the protection of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

     HFA (3, F. Nesler) - Permit the United States Enrichment Corporation to apply to the Governor for the appointment and commissioning of peace officers to protect the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
