HB 350/FN/LM (BR 1279) - F. Rasche

     AN ACT relating to revenue and taxation.
     Amend KRS 136.180 to cause the Revenue Cabinet to centrally bill and collect the property of common carrier barge lines, and to distribute the local share of the tax collected; amend KRS 136.181, 136.1877, and 136.183 to conform; amend KRS 136.184 to allow 45 days for protest; repeal KRS 136.186, relating to certification of the value of watercraft.

     HCA (1, F. Rasche) - Amend to allow the Revenue Cabinet a fee for collecting the local portion of the property tax.

     SCS (1/LM) - Retain provisions of HB 350 / GA; incorporate provisions of SCA 1; provide for debt service for bonds to be used for the Letcher County Central Vocational Center, the Russell County Learning Center, the Butler County Area Vocational Center, the Louisville Science Center, the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, and the Louisville Zoo.

     SCS (2/LM) - Retain provisions of HB 350/GA; incorporate provisions of SCA 1; provide for debt service for bonds to be used for the Letcher County Central Vocational Center, the Russell County Learning Center, the Butler County Area Vocational Center, the Louisville Science Center, the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, and the Louisville Zoo; provide that the fund transfers provided for in 2005 HB 267 and HJR 92 relating to boards and commissions not be made; create a new section of KRS Chapter 424 to provide that public agencies required to advertise or publish notices be charged the lowest rate generally charged for advertising by the newspaper; declare an EMERGENCY.

     SCA (1, R. Stivers II) - Amend KRS 138.510 to exempt a one day international horse racing event from pari-mutuel tax; EFFECTIVE January 1, 2006.

     SCA (2, D. Kelly) - Provide that the fund transfers provided for in 2005 HB 267 and HJR 92 relating to boards and commissions not be made; create a new section of KRS Chapter 424 to provide that public agencies required to advertise or publish notices be charged the lowest rate generally charged for advertising by the newspaper; declare an EMERGENCY.
