     AN ACT relating to environmental laboratories.
     Create new section of Subchapter 10 of KRS Chapter 224 to establish criteria for certification of environmental laboratories, require that environmental laboratories be accredited through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation or the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP); provide that data submitted by uncertified laboratories after June 30, 2006 not be valid; provide for various fees for accreditation and certification status; require Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet to provide form for certification applications; provide that certification be for three years and be updated thereafter; provide for conditions under which certification may be revoked or suspended; provide that cabinet promulgate regulations before December 31, 2005.
