AN ACT relating to prosecutorial funding and making an appropriation therefor.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 15 to create the Kentucky Prosecutors Enhancement Fund; amend KRS 138.130 to include definitions for smokeless tobacco products and cigarette rolling papers; amend KRS 138.140 to levy a tax on wholesalers of smokeless tobacco products and cigarette rolling papers to support the fund created in Section 1; amend KRS 138.195 to specify when returns on the tax are due; amend KRS 248.652, 438.335, and 438.337 to conform; tax to be effective July 1, 2005.
