AN ACT relating to retirement.
Amend KRS 16.601 to increase the monthly payment to surviving spouse from twenty-five percent (25%) of member's monthly final rate of pay to fifty percent (50%); allow for minimum benefit, provide for annual increases; increase monthly payment to dependent child from ten percent (10%) of the deceased member's monthly final rate of pay to twenty-five percent (25%); provide for maximum benefit; provide for benefits for multiple surviving dependent children; provide for benefit to dependent parent if no surviving spouse or surviving children; provide for maximum and reduction if entitled to workers' compensation benefits; retroactive provide that benefits are retroactive to July 1, 1992.
