AN ACT relating to aquaculture.
Amend KRS 139.480 to exempt aquacultural products and items used in the production of aquacultural products from the sales and use tax; amend KRS 260.960 to define "aquaculture" and to require the Department of Agriculture to promote markets for aquacultural products.
HB 122 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/FN - Retain provisions of the bill with the following changes: Clarify that the exemption applies to persons who are regularly engaged in the business of producing aquacultural products; allow water used in aquacultural production to be exempt; and more clearly explain what fuels are exempt from taxation.
