AN ACT relating to campaign finance registration and disclosure requirements.
Amend KRS 121.190 to require persons making paid political telephone calls to register and file a script of the advertising and written authorization by a candidate to make telephone calls with the Registry of Election Finance before calls may be made and to identify by whom the advertising is paid, to exempt political polls of less than 600 calls and non-compensated calls between persons who are acquainted, to prohibit a caller from stating or implying that he represents another person or an organization unless the person or organization has filed written approval for the caller to act as a representative, and to prohibit a caller from stating or implying that he represents a nonexistent person or organization; and amend KRS 121.170 to prescribe registration requirements for paid political telephone callers.
