AN ACT relating to children in placement.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 194 to establish a statewide strategic planning committee for children in placement; identify membership of committee, and set forth duties of the committee; create new sections of KRS Chapter 199 to define terms, to establish a procedure designed to determine and expedite the placement of children who are in the custody of the department; to require the department to maintain an inventory of the number and types of placements available for children; provide that if the reorganization of the Cabinet for Human Resources is confirmed, that references to the Cabinet for Human Resources appearing in subsection (1)(b) of Section 1 shall be codified as the Cabinet for Families and Children.
