AN ACT relating to school bus safety.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to require that when a pupil's conduct on the bus makes it unsafe the driver shall take certain actions; require that the principal or the designee for school bus discipline assist the bus drivers with help on discipline matters; require that any pupil who assaults or threatens a bus driver or other pupil on the bus be immediately suspended and a due process hearing scheduled within (3) days of the action which could lead to suspension or expulsion under KRS 158.150; require that each school district have a plan of intervention relating to crisis situations; require each school district to train bus drivers in handling unsafe and aggressive pupil behavior.
