HB 75/LM (BR 397) - B. Yonts
AN ACT relating to water districts.
Amend KRS 74.020 to specify that water district commissioners in districts with fewer than 3,500 water customers shall receive a maximum monthly salary of $400 and that water district commissioners in districts with 3,500 or more water customers shall receive a maximum monthly salary of $500; require commissioners to complete six hours of annual training in water district management training; provide that commissioners shall be eligible to receive health insurance benefits; amend KRS 74.363 to comply.
HB 75 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Specify that in order to receive the maximum salary of not more than six thousand dollars (6,000), commissioners must complete during an educational year a minimum of six (6) instructional hours of water district management training; defines an educational year as beginning on January 1, and ending on the following December 31; allow but do not require water districts to provide the same health care and pension fund benefits to its water commissioners as it does its other water employees.
HFA (1, M. Weaver) - Delete provision in KRS 74.020 allowing a water district that provides health care and pension fund benefits to its water district employees to provide the same health care benefits to its water district commissioners; amend KRS 74.363 to conform.
