AN ACT relating to notaries public.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 423 to provide for conditions of disqualification for notaries for the provision of services; amend KRS 423.110 to add "copy certification" to definition of "notarial act"; amend KRS 423.010 to require a person if not a resident of the state to have the application approved in the county he works in, provide that a notary must at least work in state, and mandate that each notary's certificate have the notary's name printed, stamped or typed below his signature; create new section of KRS Chapter 423 to accommodate notary's name changes; create a new section of KRS Chapter 423 to mandate a notary to notify Secretary of State of a resignation; create a new section of KRS Chapter 423 to mandate that a notary's family or designee notify Secretary of State upon death of notary; amend KRS 62.990 to exclude notaries from two year service ineligibility penalty.
