AN ACT restoration of the American Chestnut tree in Kentucky.
     Create new sections of KRS Chapter 149 relating to forestry to direct the Kentucky Division of Forestry, the University of Kentucky Department of Forestry, and other state affiliated forestry programs to promote the restoration of the American Chestnut and to join efforts to select or develop strains of the American Chestnut that are resistant to the chestnut blight; direct the Kentucky Division of Forestry to acquire resistant strains of the American Chestnut and to provide them to landowners and encourage their planting on state property.
