Require the Department of Transportation to apply to the Federal Highway Administration for a request to experiment with post-interchange signs; require the application to request post-interchange signs to tourist areas and attractions and historic sites that are within 35 miles of an interstate exit; require the application to request each sign to contain up to three listings; require the Department of Transportation to promulgate administrative regulations that establish distance and attendance as the criteria used to approve applications for post-interchange signs; require an approved applicant for a post-interchange sign to pay a fee of $200 per year; require the Department of Transportation to consult with selected groups when determining which applicant shall be approved for signage if the number of applicants exceeds the number of available signs.
