SB 103/LM (BR 97) - K. Nelson

     AN ACT relating to fiscal court organization.
     Amend KRS 67.050 to change the petition requirements for a referendum on changing the form of county government from 100 legal voters of the county to 20% of those voting in the county in the preceding presidential election.

SB 103 - AMENDMENTS


     SCA (1, P. Herron Jr) - Reduce the percentage of voters from the preceding presidential election required to change the form of county government from 20% to 15%.
     SFA (2, J. Rose) - Change the number of petition signatures required to bring about an election on the structure of fiscal court from a number equal to 20% of the voters in the county at the preceding presidential election to a number equal to 15% of the voters in the county at the preceding presidential election, or 5,000 voters, whichever is less.
     HCS - Replace the minimum number of voters required to call for question of changing to commissioner form of government from 5,000 to 1,200.
