SB 11 (BR 135) - T. Philpot
AN ACT relating to higher education employees.
Amend KRS 164.360, KRS 164.220, and KRS 164.830 to require that all regional universities, the University of Kentucky and institutions under its jurisdiction, and the University of Louisville have in place a process of periodic post-tenure evaluation for all tenured faculty to include but not be limited to performance in teaching, research, and service; require, rather than permit, the respective boards to remove employees who have been found guilty of incompetency, neglect of or refusal to perform their duties, or immoral conduct.
SB 11 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Delete original provisions; request the faculty and administration of each public postsecondary education institution to continue developing a comprehensive, periodic post-tenure review system; encourage the Council on Postsecondary Education to review the status of these initiatives and report its findings to the Interim Joint Committee on Education no later than October 1, 1999.
