AN ACT relating to nonprofit health care facilities.
     Create new sections of KRS Chapter 216C to require persons who seek to acquire nonprofit health care facilities to notify the Attorney General and the Cabinet for Health Services; list contents of notice; require the Attorney General to hold a hearing within 30 days of receipt of notice; require the Attorney General to issue findings within 30 days after conclusion of hearing; direct the Cabinet for Human Resources to render decision on acquisition within 60 days after conclusion of hearing conducted by the Attorney General; list criteria the cabinet must consider; authorize the Attorney General to contract with others on noncompetitive bid basis and allow the Attorney General to charge costs of contract to corporation; and prohibit issuance of a license to a health facility that was acquired without approval.
