AN ACT relating to Kentucky state veterans' nursing homes and providing funding therefor.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 36 to direct the secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet to transfer ninety percent (90%) of the surplus funds from the charitable gaming regulatory account to a restricted fund account for operating expenses of Kentucky state veteran's nursing homes; create a new section of KRS Chapter 36 to direct the secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet to transfer ten percent (10%) of the surplus funds from the charitable gaming regulatory account to a special fund account created as the "Veterans' Perennial Trust Fund"; direct that fifty percent (50%) of the interest on this fund shall supplement the expenses of the veterans nursing homes and that fifty percent (50%) of the interest shall remain in the trust fund for the purpose of accruing interest; direct that moneys in the account shall not lapse at the close of a fiscal year; amend KRS 238.570 to establish what constitutes surplus funds in the charitable gaming regulatory account and to provide for transfer of these surplus funds to the restricted funds account and the trust fund created by this Act.
