AN ACT relating to alcoholic beverage licensing.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 243 to require that those applying for issuance of or renewal of an alcoholic beverage license are disqualified for ten years if they commit a felony; amend other sections of KRS Chapter 243 to prohibit a person who commits any felony from receiving an alcohol beverage license for a ten year period; prohibit those committing misdemeanors relating to alcoholic beverages or controlled substances under KRS Chapter 218A from obtaining a license for five years; prohibit those committing alcohol beverage misdemeanors and misdemeanors related to controlled substances from renewing their licenses within five years of their conviction; disqualify a corporation with a shareholder owning more than twenty-five percent of the corporation's stock if that shareholder commits a felony or alcohol- or drug- related misdemeanor.
