AN ACT relating to education.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to require and identify indicators of a school environment that promotes the utilization of resources; create a new section of KRS Chapter 160 to require each school district to have a recruitment and employment program to enlist a diverse classified and certified staff; specify evaluation components for local evaluation plans; amend KRS 156.101 to require school administrators to have training in diversity and equity issues; amend KRS 156.111 to require training and assessment relating to personnel management; amend KRS 160.180 to require all local board of education members to have training in personnel-related skills; amend KRS 160.345 to require personnel training of SBDM members; amend KRS 160.380, relating to advertising of vacant positions; amend KRS 161.011 to require local school boards to implement a fair and equitable recruitment program for classified staff; amend KRS 161.028 to require the Education Professional Standard Board to monitor diversity in teacher preparation institutions and to provide technical assistance; amend KRS 161.165, relating to minority recruitment.
