SB 45/CI (BR 179) - D. Karem
AN ACT relating to crimes and punishments.
Amend KRS 17.170 and 17.175 to include all felons in the state's criminal DNA collection and indexing program.
SB 45 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, R. Stivers) - Limit DNA testing to sexual offenders and violent offenders rather than require testing of all felons. Implement program July 15, 2002.
HCS/CI/P - Retain provisions of the bill; add DNA testing of individuals convicted of burglary in the first degree; attach provisions of HB 273.
HFA (1, J. Crenshaw) - Remove provision requiring that certain claims be brought by September of 2003.
HFA (2, J. Jenkins) - Amend to include section amending KRS 17.500 to include distribution of material portraying sexual performance by a minor a sex crime.
HFA (3/P, C. Miller) - Amend KRS 15.380 and 61.900 to define school security officers as school law enforcement officers; amend KRS 61.920 to provide that school law enforcement officers employed by local boards of education may have the powers and duties of a peace officer in school-related matters anywhere in the area the school district serves.
