AN ACT relating to property tax.
     Amend KRS 186.021 to provide that owners of motor vehicles issued a salvage title during the year are only liable for taxes due on the motor vehicle for the portion of the year in which the vehicle did not have a salvage title; provide that owners that have already paid the tax when the vehicle is issued a salvage title are allowed to apply for a refund from the county clerk; provide that this Act shall apply retroactively to motor vehicles assessed on or after January 1, 2002.
